Our summer stint this month is somewhat on a budget due to the increasing cost of well, everything!! So this afternoon we decided that the free sunshine was not enough to occupy the kids so we headed out to the cinema to watch Cars 2.
Rather than head into Disney we went north into Clermont Landings a new outside mall area with a number of just awesometasic stores and a massive Epic (name not adjective) Cinema. After the film we took a look around the stores and made out first visit to the Dollar Tree. Now I am no snob and have found some great items in PoundLand back in the UK especially for holidays, dressing up, cleaning bits etc. But I really wondered what Dollar Tree had to offer. I suppose it’s really 60p Land considering the exchange rate.
As we entered the store is massive. I did have to ask a few times “how much was this” and I think they were not amused! I was though as seriously everything was a dollar (plus tax though so really a dollar and seven cents). We picked up some things we had been told to get for the Disney Dream cruise such as over door storage, a pop up laundry basket, a three to one electrical adapter etc. We also got some great cleaning products that are $2.50 in Publix….for a dollar!! Also got some silver cooking dishes (easier than washing up a lasagne pan that we don’t actually own). However the bargain of the day has to be a pair of sunglasses for yes a dollar! They will come to the parks when we go so if we lose them, doesn’t matter really. They look OK and full UV protection; apparently!
The bill for my 11 items…. Not quite 11 dollars but it was the tax that made the extra 77 cents. But good fun. Also sold beer for a dollar a can too Juz next time you are passing!
